As China’s Military Strength Grows, Biden Admin Makes Stunning Admission…

(Republican Party News) – While militaries around the world are getting bigger and stronger and more advanced, the US army is being slowly destroyed by the radical left.

Since the military has gone woke and started focusing on things like maternity flight suits and drag shows on bases, Americans just don’t seem to be as motivated to sign up to join its ranks.

Not only that but the COVID-19 mandate for all military members is also keeping Americans away.

The problem isn’t retention, it’s recruitment and during testimony before a House Armed Service Committee panel on Tuesday, the Army’s vice chief of staff admitted that the service is projected to lose 28,000 troops by the end of fiscal year 2023.

In a report by the Army Times, Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Joseph Martin told the panel in a “stunning admission” that the army would be understrength by about 7,000 soldiers at the end of this fiscal year on Sept. 30.

Martin “also confirmed that the Army notified a House military personnel panel that it expects to have between 445,000 and 452,000 soldiers at the end of fiscal 2023, a 28,000-soldier drop from the original end end strength the Army projected for 2022,” according to the report.

Spokeswoman Lt. Col. Loni Ayers stated in an email to the Army Times that Martin “stated the estimated end strength for FY22 is 466.4K. Our estimated end strength for FY23 is between 445-452K.”

That’s well below the Army’s target end strength of 473,000 for this year and 476,000 for next year and those numbers have even been adjusted to reflect the drop in recruitment. At the beginning of the year, the end strength target was 485,000.

In April, the military cut that number down to 473,000 when they realized their recruiting goals were far from being met. Subsequently, they also cut their recruiting goal by 15,000.

“Retention numbers remain near record highs — more than 57,000 troops reenlisted as of July 7, against an annual goal of around 54,000 — but the Army’s recruiting failures have proven too much to overcome,” the Army Times noted.

“The reasons contributing to plunging recruitment are complex, including more detailed medical screenings, a shrinking proportion of Americans eligible to serve, poor marketing practices, low civilian unemployment and more.”

“This is not a one-year challenge,” Army Secretary Christine Wormuth said.

“And because it’s not a one-year problem we will solve overnight, we are examining a wide range of additional steps we could take in the short and longer term to recruit more soldiers into the Army without lowering standards or sacrificing quality,” she said.

However, lowering standards is exactly what the army has tried to do. For just about a week, the army was accepting applicants who didn’t have their high school diploma or a GED but who scored in the top half of their entry aptitude tests.

That practice was short-lived but nonetheless shows how desperate the army has become to recruit soldiers.

The Army is, however, currently considering a pre-basic training camp in Fort Jackson, South Carolina for recruits who don’t meet the current standards and need to improve aptitude scores or reduce body fat.

One of the biggest recruitment challenges, however, is the fact that the military is now requiring recruits to be vaccinated against COVID-19 which they are likely at very little risk for.

According to CDC data, over one-third of Americans 18-24 and nearly a third of those 25-39 haven’t received the full vaccination and don’t likely plan to considering how low the risk from COVID really is.

The men and women entering the military are supposed to be in peak physical condition. They aren’t exactly one of the vulnerable demographics for COVID-19.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Tom Spoehr, now with the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation, said the mandate was “another subtraction from the qualified pool of people” and “dragged [the military] into the political sphere.”

The Army Times also reported that market research from last summer “indicates that the percentage who are willing to serve is slipping as well, reaching lows not seen since the grinding surge years of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

If you’ve seen any of the Army’s recruitment ads, you might have a pretty good idea why that might be. Just look at this woke, pandering ad that was released in May 2021:

It doesn’t exactly inspire strength. The traditional Army recruitment base isn’t interested in becoming part of some progressive social engineering project. The Army is becoming weak and the Americans who are normally attracted to the Army are being turned off in droves.

“Look, it’s ridiculous, and the men and women of our military, our soldiers and sailors and airmen and Marines are the toughest, most ferocious, and effective fighting force on the face of the planet,” Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz told Fox News after that infamous viral ad was released last year.

“They are the reason we are free,” he said. “They are the reason we have our rights. And what we’re seeing is Democratic politicians and these woke, lefty bureaucrats and lefty media reporters trying to destroy the American military, trying to turn it into, frankly, a bunch of pansies.”

Except the Army can’t even recruit enough pansies! Go woke, go broke. Unfortunately for the US, it looks like the Army is learning this lesson. Let’s just hope it’s not at the cost of our national security.

  1. 😪 is this the ideology we are ment to defend and serve with our lives….. clearly our government could care less about America’s safety and cares more about leftist ideology. Literally begging for China to be the next global superpower. Hard to watch what’s being done to our country.

  2. “Nothing in government happens by accident.” FDR Most likely the reduced number of military men and women enlisting in the service is because of the current regime. I wouldn’t enlist in the biden regime military and I don’t know anyone who would even consider being a part of the biden regime service. REMEMBER Afganistan!!!
