BIDEN AUDIO COVERUP: Contempt Citation For AG Garland Getting Closer

(Republican Party News) – Attorney General Merrick Garland could be in some serious trouble as the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees are considering a resolution to hold him in contempt of Congress for failing to produce a subpoenaed audio recording featuring Special Counsel Robert Hur interviewing President Joe Biden during the investigation into his potential mishandling of classified documents. Garland, like many other Democrats, has been under the impression that he has the right to abuse his power and authority in order to provide protection for Biden.

Nobody is supposed to be above the law, especially not our political representatives. That concept is one of many reasons the United States has been such a successful nation for well over 200 years now. And if we lose that, we lose our republic.

According to Fox News, “House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer, R-Ky., and House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, had previously threatened to hold Garland in contempt of Congress over the Justice Department’s failure to produce the audio recordings. Each committee will meet Thursday at 11:00 a.m. on Capitol Hill.”

“The Justice Department last month reminded the committees that it had produced a transcript of Biden’s interview with the special counsel, and said it would not turn over the audio recording of that interview. Comer said Monday that Garland ‘has refused to provide the audio files of President Biden’s interview with the Special Counsel,'” the report continued.

“The House Oversight and Judiciary Committees issued lawful subpoenas to Attorney General Garland for the audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Hur, yet he continues to defy our subpoenas,” Comer remarked in a statement Monday. “These audio recordings are important to our investigation of President Biden’s willful retention of classified documents and his fitness to be President of the United States.”

He continued, “There must be consequences for refusing to comply with lawful congressional subpoenas and we will move to hold Attorney General Garland in contempt of Congress.”

“Hur, who released his report to the public in February after months of investigation, did not recommend criminal charges against Biden for mishandling and retaining classified documents, and he stated that he would not bring charges against Biden even if he were not in the Oval Office,” Fox reported.

The records in question contain a number of classified documents with information concerning military and foreign policy in Afghanistan and several other countries. There were other records on the issue of national security and foreign policy, which Hur revealed implicated “sensitive intelligence sources and methods.”

If you remember when this news first broke, it was reported that Hur wrote in his findings that Biden is a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory,” which is a sentence that could totally doom his 2024 presidential reelection campaign. If the man is not well enough to stand trial for his actions, he’s not able to perform the duties of the presidency either. Pretty plain and simple.

“Republicans initially subpoenaed Garland for the audio recording in March and set a deadline to turn it over by April 8,” the article concluded.

“If found guilty, Garland could face a fine and up to one year in prison. Former Trump administration official Peter Navarro was recently fined $9,500 and sentenced to four months in prison after being held in contempt of Congress for refusing to follow subpoenas from the Jan. 6 committee,” The Washington Examiner divulged.

  1. So it’s been 7 days since the cut off for Garland to turn over the tape(s). Can We The People see the contempt charge issued?!!!! It would go a long way to helping us believe these Republicans if they would quit talking and show actions. And we should not have to wait months for it to happen. DO IT ALREADY!
