(Republican Party News) – Americans are being absolutely crushed by inflation and skyrocketing gas prices, which are still climbing.
There doesn’t seem to be any end in sight and no relief on the horizon.
According to AAA, the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the US was $4.919 on Tuesday, an all-time high but before we know it, it will be over $5 a gallon. This is getting seriously bad.
Instead of hearing the concerns of Americans, the Washington DC swamp elites are brushing us off since they clearly have the solution to all of our problems: Get in line with the left’s radical “green” agenda.
At least that’s what one Democrat Senator suggested when she informed everyone during a Senate Finance Committee hearing on Tuesday that she’s fortunate enough to avoid facing sky-high gas prices.
Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) boasted about how she’s able to avoid the pain at the gas pump since she bought an electric vehicle, despite a global semiconductor chip shortage.
“On the issue of gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle, I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every gas station and it didn’t matter how high it was,” she said with an arrogant smile.
She then went on to blame the “whims” of oil companies and the international markets for the high gas prices despite the real problem being the Biden regime and Democrats and their intentional war against fossil fuels.
With the average price of electric vehicles being $60,054, most Americans simply don’t have the luxury of avoiding the record-setting gas prices. The average cost of electric vehicles is nearly the entire annual income of the average American household, which is $64,994 according to the Census Bureau.
Meanwhile, Senators are paid an annual salary of $174,000. That’s quite a bit more than most Americans. Stabenow has only proven just how out of touch she really is with the struggles of the Americans she represents.
She didn’t get away with it, however. Stabenow was blasted for her lack of awareness and common sense. Michiganders quickly pointed out that her average constituents don’t have anywhere near the kind of financial means that she does.
Stabenow receives over $88k per year from her MI state pension in addition to her $174k senate salary. The median household income in MI is $60k

The swamp’s elite has zealously promoted electric vehicles as the solution to rising gas prices and the energy crisis Biden has created but most Americans simply can’t afford them and many simply don’t want an electric vehicle.
Not to mention the fact that our electric grid is nowhere near updated enough to handle a massive switch to electric vehicles. But never mind that little detail.
Biden has routinely noted that the high gas prices are all just part of the “transition” to a new energy scheme for the US but ignores that most Americans simply cannot afford to make the switch.
They don’t actually care at all. As long as they can afford to switch to electric vehicles and not have to worry about the high gas prices, Americans be damned.

A lot of Americans are struggling just put food on the table. The middle class and the poor and the seniors living on a fixed income are having a problem just surviving.Tp flaunt having a new electric car is deplorable and demeaning to most Americans. Is this what this is about, power and greed of the democrat party?
Electric Vehicles SUCK! . . . wait until YOU pay TOP $$$ relacing a BATTERY pack, or have a ROLLING blackout, the COST of BUYING one, etc. And they’re NOT as efficient as you THINK. And, they POLLUTE somewhere ELSE (there is NO WAY that “renewable” energy will be able to POWER your vehicle without COAL or PETROLEUM). And, WAIT until you see the HORRENDOUS pollution caused by making or RECYCLING RENEWABLE energy COMPONENTS. One Enlightened Patriot.

I just rented a a Toyota 4Runner Gas/Electric and I was Very Disappointed
in the Performance . I would have been better off with a Gas Model. This 4Runner only had Twelve Gallon Fuel Tank. And U were STOPPING for Fuel every Time U turned around.

Here’s my question that I’ve not heard discussed by all the pro-electric car politicians: So, we all get electric cars to replace our internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. What do we do with all the millions of ICE cars that have now become obsolete? Dig a big, big hole to bury them. Recycle them and how long would that take and what do we do with all the parts that can’t be used for anything since there aren’t any more ICE cars to use them on? What about the trucks, tractors, motorcycles, earth moving equipment, etc, etc.? What happens to all the auto parts stores in the country since a lot of them have to do with ICE parts? Just asking since I doubt most of these fairy tale believers in the hoax Climate Change theory that have never thought past their own noses concerning this reality. Yeah, they believe in unicorns and leprechauns too.

Trojan1972, I’m guessing the gas cars will be dumped in a pile with the wind turbines that can’t be recycled either. Not only are they killing birds by the thousands when they need to be replaced they can’t be recycled bc they are made to withstand hurricane winds so they can’t even be broken down. This is the stupidity of all the democrats and global warming idiots. Let’s not forget about the batteries for the electric cars when they need to be replaced I’m guessing they will go in the same pile as the gas cars and wind turbines. Let not forget that again we have to go to China for the batteries bc they have the uranium. I have never in my life seen a party, the democrat party, give our country away and not even blink an eye about it. The good thing is AMERICANS ARE FINALLY WAKING UP and showing these democrats that the only stupid people in this country are the people that pull the lever for democrats.
