Mike Rowe Says Truckers He Knows Are Paying $1,200 Per Tank… Aren’t Buying The ‘Putin Price Hike’

(Republican Party News) – America loves Mike Rowe, “Dirty Jobs” host, and his pro-America, pro-blue collar stances. Rowe says he’s been receiving countless videos from people he’s had on his television shows featuring their despair at the gas pumps.

“I get videos almost every day now from people we’ve featured on ‘Dirty Jobs’ and on ‘How America Works,’” Mike Rowe, host of both programs, said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” on Monday.

“They are just sending me videos of them at the gas pump. And some of them are filling up, you know, 18-wheelers. And I’m not kidding you — $1,110, $1,200” for a fill-up, Rowe said.

He further explained that the truckers aren’t falling for the Biden regime’s pathetic attempt to blame Putin for the skyrocketing gas prices. Rowe said most people view the current inflation in “relative terms.”

“We know it’s awful. [But] when you put $1,200 in your gas tank – and just six months ago it was costing you $600 or $700, the exponential reality of it is starting to sink in. You just can’t walk that back,” he said.

Rowe said the cost of fuel “touches every single thing that matters in this country, from food production and transportation, obviously, all of it.”

According to AAA, average national diesel fuel costs reached a record $5.37 per gallon on Tuesday, up nearly 5 cents from just the previous day.

Diesel makes the world go round, literally. It’s needed to run everything from the trucks that bring us all of our goods to farm equipment to ocean vessels, and jet planes.

When the cost of diesel goes up, the cost of everything else goes up too.

Joe Biden has been passing the buck for the country’s staggering inflation onto Russian President Vladimir Putin despite the fact that prices were surging long before the Russia-Ukraine conflict began.

“Your family budget, your ability to fill up your tank, none of it should hinge on whether a dictator declares war and commits genocide a half a world away,” Biden has said.

The Biden regime thinks Americans are stupid and that we didn’t notice fuel prices steadily increasing for months prior to Putin moving on Ukraine. When Biden usurped the White House the week of Jan. 18, 2021, gas prices were $2.379 per gallon. On Feb 21, 2022, before Russia invaded Ukraine, prices had already soared to $3.53 per gallon, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

When Rowe was asked whether or not the truckers are buying into the Putin narrative, he responded, “The ones I know aren’t.”

“Guy said to me the other day: ‘It’s like falling down the stairs in slow motion, you know,’” he said.

“We know it’s coming. We’re watching it happen. It’s happening in real time,” Rowe said. “And it’s not just diesel, it’s not just gasoline. If you bring it back to food … you have to talk about fertilizer, too. The cost of — there’s no food without fertilizer in this country. The cost of fertilizer is hundreds, hundreds of percent higher than it was.”

Prices everywhere and for everything have skyrocketed. While the Washington DC swamp has, once again, forgotten about the American people, Mike Rowe still cares.

  1. Anyone remember how much gasoline cost when President Trump was in office? Elections have consequences. Read Dinesh d’ Souza’s book “2,000 Mules” to learn about massive voting fraud.

  2. As former President Bill Clinton’s advisor, James Carville, said so succinctly all those years ago, “It’s the economy, stupid”, to defeat George H.W. Bush for a second term. Hey, Joe, the American citizenry agree with that simple, but profound statement. What don’t you get? Oh, that’s right, everything.
