ALERT: Covid Rule-Breakers Could Face Jail Time In This Shock State

(Republican Party News) – Last Friday, the Mississippi State Department of Health put out a new series of oppressive measures that require any person that contracts the coronavirus to be isolated for 10 days at home. The order took effect as soon as it was issued and also includes individuals who were fully vaccinated.

According to Gateway Pundit, anyone who dares to violate this mandate will find themselves getting slapped with heavy fines and possibly even thrown in prison.

“It’s not just a short time-out either – In addition to being fined up to $5,000, anyone who is found not mindlessly complying with the unconstitutional mandate could face a felony conviction and up to 5 years behind bars,” GP’s report says.

“All persons residing in Mississippi must immediately home-isolate on first knowledge of infection with COVID-19,” the order says, adding, “All persons, including fully vaccinated individuals, infected with COVID-19 must remain in the home or other appropriate residential location for 10 days from onset of illness (or 10 days from the date of a positive test for those who are asymptomatic).”

“The failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is, at minimum, a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $500.00 (41-3-59) or imprisonment for 6 months or both. If a life-threatening disease is involved, failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is a felony, punishable by a fine of up to $5,000.00 or imprisonment for up to five years or both (41-23-2),” it continues.

Dr. Thomas Dobbs is the health “officer” who signed off on the oppressive order for the mindless citizens to gleefully follow, even going so far as to instruct them to wear a mask in their own homes and attempt to limit contact with their own family members within the household.

“Persons infected with COVID-19 should limit exposure to household contacts. No visitors should be allowed in the home. Please stay in a specific room away from others in your home. Use a separate bathroom if available. If you need to be around others in your home, you should wear a face mask,” the order says.

This is not the kind of thing you’d expect to see here in the United States. It’s more in line with the kind of garbage that happens down in Australia as the government in that country continues to take cues about oppression from the Chinese Communist Party.

It wouldn’t even be that surprising to see something along these lines in New York or California, but in Mississippi? This state is supposed to be a Republican stronghold. What’s going on here?

“Mississippi hospitals currently have more COVID-19 patients than at any other time in the pandemic, as 1,660 patients were hospitalized, 457 were in the ICU, and 324 were on ventilators on Wednesday, according to state health data,” Fox News reports.

“The University of Mississippi Medical Center, the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, announced Friday that it will require all staff and students to be vaccinated. It’s an about face for the hospital, which previously said employees and students could skip being vaccinated if they wore N95 masks,” the report continues.

“COVID-19 in Mississippi is a raging wildfire but not everyone is helping throw water on the flames in their own backyard,” Dr. Alan Jones, who serves as the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s associate vice chancellor for clinical affairs, stated in a letter Friday addressed to staff and students. “We – as an institution and as the workforce for the state’s leading health system – need to be a leader in this fight.”

The state of Mississippi has the lowest vaccination rate in the country with only 41.5 percent of the population having taken at least one jab. Only 36.8 percent have been fully vaccinated.
