Psaki’s Replacement Bombs First Day As Doocy Stumps Her With Question

(Republican Party News) – It doesn’t matter who the mouthpiece of the Biden regime is, they will never be able to provide real answers to tough questions that the American people want to know.

Former press secretary Jen Psaki routinely struggled when asked any kind of question with substance, particularly from Fox News’ correspondent Peter Doocy. Now, her replacement, Karine Jean-Pierre, has demonstrated that this trend isn’t going to change anytime soon.

In their defense, it’s got to be a tough job to justify, explain and promote the constant stream of lies and disinformation put out by the current regime. Psaki was actually pretty good at covering for the regime with her snarky, self-righteous attitude but Americans still saw right through her.

Jean-Pierre’s first day didn’t go as well as she probably would have liked. Peter Doocy took her to task on a comment tweeted out by Biden that asserted all we have to do to lower inflation is tax wealthy corporations more.

Huh?

Exactly. Jean-Pierre was just as stumped as the rest of America and when faced with the opportunity to explain how raising taxes on corporations could possibly lower inflation, she fell flat on her face.

“The president’s Twitter account posted the other day, ‘You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share,’” Doocy began.

“How does raising taxes on corporations reduce inflation?” he asked. This is a totally reasonable and fair question. One that every single media outlet in the country should be asking.

How does raising taxes on corporations lower inflation? Logic would dictate that raising costs for corporations will only further compound the problem, rather than solve it.

Of course, Jean-Pierre didn’t have an answer.

She appeared to be caught off guard by the question as she quickly began shuffling papers around.

“Um, so, are you talking about a specific tweet?” she asked despite the fact that Doocy had clearly just quoted the tweet.

He repeated the tweet again for her to which she began to spout off leftist talking points about raising corporate taxes.

“Look, you know, we have talked about, we have talked about this this past year, about making sure that the wealthiest among us are paying their fair share,” Jean-Pierre said. “And that is important to do, and that is something that, you know, the president has been working on every day when we talk about inflation and lowering costs.”

She rambled on a bit longer but gave no answer to Doocy’s question. Her sales pitch for raising corporate taxes totally failed to explain how it would lower inflation for hard-working Americans.

Doocy wasn’t deterred. He pressed for an answer again.

“How does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food for everyday Americans?” he asked.

Jean-Pierre then appeared to rattle off a prewritten schtick about the importance of raising taxes on the wealthy in order to address climate change. Her responses just kept further and further away from any kind of real answer.

Doocy wasn’t ready to give up yet. He attempted to ask his question a third time but was met with the same non-answer, leftist talking points.

“The president said, ‘You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share,’” Doocy repeated. “Jeff Bezos came out and tweeted about that. He said the newly-created disinformation board should review this tweet. Would you be ok with that?”

“Look, it’s not a huge mystery why one of the wealthiest individuals on Earth, right, opposes an economic agenda that is for the middle class, that cuts some of the biggest costs families face, fights inflation for the long haul, right,” Jean-Pierre said.

She continued to read scripted responses and didn’t even come close to explaining how exactly higher taxes for the wealthy translates to lower inflation for Americans.

At this point, Doocy threw in the towel and accepted that he was never going to get an answer and moved on to his next question.

As press secretary, Jean-Pierre should be ready and able to answer questions regarding tweets sent out to the American people from an account bearing Joe Biden’s name. Especially ones as simple as this one.

Of course, she can’t do it because there is no answer. There is no possible way that raising taxes on the biggest corporations in America will ever help lower inflation or make economic problems any better.

It’s pure fantasy. A typical hollow leftist talking point designed to whip up support from their mindless drone supporters because it sounds righteous. No one could possibly explain or justify it.
